The enshitiffication of customer service...
We sold our RV, so I went to the GEICO website to cancel the insurance policy. There was no option to do that, so I selected chat. You can't cancel through chat, so I had to call to talk to a rep for something simple that should have been done with a couple of buttons on a website.
Presumably their rationale is probably to try and keep you as a customer, but making everyone jump through hoops to protect their client base is a poor policy.
